"“SEO has been a minefield. What does success look like? Is it having an impact, or is it just pot luck? However, we’ve seen consistently great results since working with Rob and the Uncommon Blue team."

Recovering Lost Organic Visibility for Chrysalis

We developed a reliable and sustainable SEO strategy for Chrysalis Courses, helping them recover lost keyword rankings and increase organic traffic.

From technical audits to onsite content optimisation, local SEO to integration with PPC tactics, we grew visibility for both national and local keywords. By treating each location as its own business, we’ve built the foundations for Chrysalis’ long-term organic growth.

Who Are Chrysalis Courses?

Chrysalis Courses is one of the UK’s leading counselling and hypnotherapy training providers, operating from nearly 30 locations. But they’d suffered a drop in organic visibility, losing a range of important national keywords from traffic-driving positions, and had zero local search presence to fall back on.

We knew they’d need a comprehensive new SEO strategy to recover and then grow their presence. A strategy that covered both onsite and offsite tactics, that worked alongside existing PPC activity, and brought the right users to the site.

How?
How Uncommon Blue Helped

We treated every location as its own operation. Landing pages were moved to the main nav and optimised with unique content to capture local search traffic, and Google Business and Bing Places profiles were created,

We looked at the entire site’s content and technical performance next. Old and outdated blog posts were removed, refreshed or repurposed. CTAs and internal links were overhauled, and metadata and page copy were all updated to better match search intent. In the background, ongoing technical audits and fixes improved crawlability and usability.

Our efforts drove real change, with 80 keywords moving to the top 3 positions, a further 50 taking positions 4-10, and 120 location keywords sitting on the first page.

"Our rankings have improved, driving more organic traffic to our website. This has been achieved by a solid strategy and the understanding that it’s not a quick win. We’re very pleased we went this route!"

- Emily Hooper, Course Director

5 Signs Your Branding Looks AI-Generated (And Why Customers Notice)

You can usually feel it before you can explain it. You land on a website, or scroll past an ad, and something just reads as off, a little generic, a little cheap. You couldn't say why, but you've already quietly decided not to trust it.

Design

Can AI Replace a Graphic Designer in 2026?

It's the question on a lot of business owners' minds, even if they don't say it out loud: if AI can knock out a logo, a social post or a flyer in seconds, why pay a designer at all? The honest answer is more interesting than a simple yes or no.
